The young boy kneeling in front of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan may be Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan. Wilfred Thesiger stands at the centre (third from left) holding a camel stick. Another boy, Sheikh Mubarak bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, stands second from the right between two retainers. In the background low sand dunes and trees sit in the far distance. This image was taken during April 6-30, 1948, when Wilfred Thesiger stayed at Al Muwaiji fort in Al Ain as a guest of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
