Al palato si rivela di ottima struttura, con un tannino ben integrato e una lunga persistenza.Il Barolo Riserva DOCG "Brunate" firmato Marengo nasce in località La Morra, dall'omonima vigna, nota per dare uve nebbiolo particolarmente prodighe di profumi, mai troppo tanniche e sempre ricche di zuccheri, tra le più pregiate del comprensorio. Il vino che se ne ottiene è, conseguentemente, un fuoriclasse dotato di un frutto maturo e di note secondarie ben articolate. Prodotto di alta qualità, è ideale se non si vuole sbagliare nelle cene più formali.
Ottimo in abbinamento alle carni rosse, è ideale per accompagnare cacciagione e selvaggina.
